Nolan’s Inception inspired by Bond films

Christopher Nolan’s Inception will hit theaters on July 16, 2010 and will no doubt remind you of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), which Nolan says is his favorite James Bond film. “I’ve been plundering from the Bond movies in everything I’ve done, forever. I grew up loving them and they’re just a huge influence on me,” Nolan told Empire magazine.

Inception will star Leonard DiCaprio (Shutter Island, Titanic) as well as Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, and Tom Berenger. The film falls into the action/drama/mystery genre and follows Dom Cobb (DiCaprio) a skilled thief who gets caught in a world of corporate espionage.

Needless to say, if you like Bond films, you’ll want to check out Inception when it releases to a theater near you.
