Bond Girls Names

There have been so many beautiful women who starred in James Bond films (often referred to as “Bond Girls”) throughout the franchise’s history beginning with the memorable character Honey Ryder played by Ursula Andress. There is at least one Bond girl character in every film, and the characters have been either good, bad, or a mix of both (as in a “double agent”).

Many earlier Bond girls had the now-dated naming tradition of having sexual references such as Kissy Suzuki, Pussy Galore, Plenty O’Toole, and Holly Goodhead (the list goes on, but we’ll stop there). Whether you consider the names sexist or just plain humorous, Brocolli and co. eventually started to cool down the sexual innuendos towards the end of the 90’s, although unique and mysterious names such as Vesper Lynd, Sévérine, and Strawberry Fields would continue to be used.

Give yourself a quiz. How many Bond girls can you name? Here’s a list of the Bond girls starting from Dr. No (1962).
